- Extract from the Archives
An Extract from the Archives can be ordered for Patek Philippe timepieces for which the date of first sale exceeds 10 years from the date of the request. One single Extract can be requested per 12-month period, per timepiece. The service fee is 500 Swiss Francs. This fee is fully refundable in case of ineligibility of the timepiece.
We need photos to verify the visual compliance of the timepiece with the description in our archive journals. Detailed instructions in pdf format regarding the photographs to be provided with your request for an Extract from the Archives can be downloaded.
You may provide a copy of the service invoice instead of the images of the serial numbers. This allowance is limited to the service guarantee period.
The Extract from the Archives is a partial transcript regarding a particular timepiece from our Archives, as meticulously recorded since 1839. The Certificate of Origin is like a birth certificate delivered with every single new watch. It provides the movement, case and reference numbers identifying unequivocally any timepiece. This original document serves as a warranty and must be held in safekeeping as no copy can ever be provided.
If an Extract from the Archives has already been issued for your timepiece within the last twelve months, your request will be denied and your payment fully refunded. In addition, you will be informed of the date from which a new Extract from the Archives can be ordered.
The Extracts Service is the only entity entitled to issue or deny an Extract from the Archives.
If an Extract from the Archives cannot be issued, the amount you paid will be refunded on your credit card.
An Extract from the Archives cannot be processed while your timepiece is still under service. Once serviced, you may provide a copy of the service invoice instead of the images of the serial numbers. This allowance is limited to the service guarantee period.
