Complicated Desk Clock, ref. 27000M-001
Patek Philippe perpetuates its rich heritage by drawing inspiration from a desk clock delivered in 1923 to American collector James Ward Packard, as well as from a model of the same type sold in 1927 to another notorious American collector, Henry Graves Junior, now preserved in the Patek Philippe Museum.

A new high-performance movement with a 31-day power reserve
To effectively combine tradition with innovation, the Manufacture has developed the manually wound rectangular caliber 86-135 PEND S IRM Q SE (912 components), offering exceptional performance: a 31-day power reserve and rate precision of +/- 1 second per day. To guarantee optimum performance, engineers have designed a genuine “precision regulator” at the heart of the movement, featuring a patented constant-force mechanism that maintains a stable amplitude of the balance wheel throughout the month.
An ingenious control panel system
In another innovation, Patek Philippe has equipped the clock with a genuine mechanical instrument panel with American walnut veneer housed under the hinged cover that opens from the right. This ingenious push-button control panel system enables settings to be made intuitively, simply and conveniently – entirely in keeping with Patek Philippe's user-oriented philosophy.
An exceptional case
For the exterior, the Manufacture drew inspiration from the decoration of the historic model, reinterpreting it in a refined, timeless style. The sterling silver cabinet is enhanced by panels in green flinqué Grand Feu enamel adorned with a swirling guilloché pattern. The upper panel and bezel are adorned with an engraved “rope” motif. Decorative elements borrowed from the 1923 clock, such as the four corner winged lions, are picked up in the form of vermeil (yellow-gilt silver) appliques.
