Quadruple Complication, ref. 5308G-001
The self-winding Quadruple Complication Reference 5308 with minute-repeater, split-seconds chronograph and instantaneous perpetual calendar – of which a world-first platinum limited series was presented at the Watch Art Grand Exhibition Tokyo 2023 – makes its debut in Patek Philippe’s collection with a white gold version.
A new Quadruple Complication for connoisseurs
This exceptional timepiece, featuring the new R CHR 27 PS QI caliber, is derived from Triple Complication Reference 5208, launched in 2011, with minute repeater, chronograph and instantaneous perpetual calendar. The addition of a particularly energy-consuming split-seconds mechanism represented a real challenge for engineers.

Two patented innovations
The R CHR 27 PS QI caliber (799 components) features improved barrel torque, a platinum mini-rotor increasing its winding power, as well as two patented innovations: an anti-backlash wheel that prevents chronograph friction at the clutch; along with an isolation system that eliminates the energy consumption of the split-seconds mechanism when it is stopped.

Instantaneous perpetual calendar
The instantaneous perpetual calendar – a veritable feat reserved for very rare timepieces – ensures that the disks pass in 30 milliseconds over the three day-date-month apertures arranged along an arc.

Minute repeater
The minute-repeater striking on two classic gongs offers the legendary sound quality of Patek Philippe chiming watches.
